Forum on New and Effective Ways to End Homelessness

May 6, 2010.  The Cape and Islands Regional Network to End Homelessness is hosting a forum gathering federal, state and local legislators and policymakers, homelessness prevention, housing agency and community leaders to address efforts to end homelessness and discuss Regional Network initiatives.  The event will take place on Monday May 10, 2010 at the Cape Codder in Hyannis from Noon to 2:30 p.m.   

In addition to presentations on Regional Network innovations to end homelessness, the event will feature talks on ending individual and family homelessness. Joe Finn, President and Executive Director of the Massachusetts Housing and Shelter Alliance will discuss the Future of Massachusetts Budget Line Item 7004-0102.  Keynote speaker Dennis Culhane, Professor of Social Policy at the University of Pennsylvania, and a nationally recognized expert on homelessness and housing policy, will speak on Ending Family Homelessness in Massachusetts.  

The Cape and Islands Regional Network  to End Homelessness is a collaborative effort of state, county and local government, social service providers, housing agencies, faith based organizations, the business community and dedicated individuals working together to prevent homelessness.
