The Last Sunset: Supporting Parents Aging at Home
The Barnstable Senior Center is offering a five-part series – The Last Sunset: Supporting Aging Parents at Home – to assist community members who need help taking care of their 80+ parent who wants to continue living in their own home. They have recorded interviews with representatives from Elder Services, S.H.I.N.E., Elder Law and Supportive Day Programs. The questions in the interviews are questions you may have or things you need to know to assist an elder person living alone.
Throughout September and October, all five interviews will be featured on Barnstable Town Channel 18. The interviews can also be found toward the bottom of the Barnstable Senior Center’s website.
A follow-up roundtable discussion will take place October 21st from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Barnstable Senior Center (825 Falmouth Road, Hyannis). If you would like to take part in the roundtable discussion, please RSVP with the Barnstable Senior Center by calling 508-862-4750.
