ACCESSIBILITY LANGUAGE & SYMBOLS

The following statement should be included on any meeting notice or event invitation to the public:

“If you are deaf or hard of hearing or are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation, contact [insert contact] at [phone number or email] or TTY [insert TTY #].”

 Along with the accessibility statement, you may also include these access symbols which are found at www.bchumanservices.net in the “About Us” ADA Section or at www.gag.org/resources.

Access Symbols

Requests for a sign language interpreter must be made directly to MA Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing at least 2 weeks prior to the event/meeting date. If a request for a sign language interpreter can not be filled, ask the person if they can be accommodated in another manner.
