Three HHSAC Groups Have New Websites

Barnstable County Department of Human Services’ goal of “Creating a Healthy Connected Cape Cod” includes supporting regional efforts to ensure a sustained regional impact on priority initiatives. By providing strategic leadership and structure, the Department supports regional efforts that address key health and human service issues.  Three regional efforts supported by the Department now have their own websites.  Each organization is represented on the Barnstable County Health and Human Services Advisory Council.



Barnstable County Human Rights Advisory Commission  The Barnstable County Human Rights Advisory Commission promotes equal opportunity in housing, employment, education, public accommodations, Town and County services, insurance, banking, credit and health care for all persons in Barnstable County regardless of race, color, religious creed, national origin, sex, age, ancestry, sexual or affectional preference, marital, family or military status, source of income, neighborhood or disability.

Cape and Islands Suicide Prevention Coalition The mission of the Cape and Islands Suicide Prevention Coalition is to help give Cape Cod and Island communities the necessary information and tools to raise awareness, promote education, and increase action to reduce suicides.

Community Health Network Area 27 (CHNA 27)
The Cape and Islands comprise Community Health Network Area 27 (CHNA 27), a local coalition of public, non-profit, and private sectors working together to build healthier communities on the Cape and Islands through community-based prevention planning and health promotion.
