Elder Services of Cape Cod and the Islands will be offering a special training in Dennis to prepare individuals to serve as Senior Outreach volunteers for the Samaritans of Cape Cod and the Islands on Monday, August 8, 2016, from 10:00am – 3:30pm.  The Senior Outreach Program is designed to bring volunteers and seniors together via weekly phone calls. Calls can be made by volunteers from their own home so no travel is required. The program is an opportunity for people who have thought about volunteering for Samaritans but are unable to do so due to geographic or time constraints.  If you are a senior who would like to volunteer, or if you would like to participate in the program, please contact Samaritans by phone at 508-548-7999 or email at ccsamaritans@verizon.net.
