Over 500 Local Organizations Now Listed in Human Service Directories

Barnstable County Department of Human Services has reached a milestone in our online resources.  The companion Service Directories for the Behavioral Health and the Public Health and Wellness websites now list over 500 local organizations that provide services and resources to Cape Cod residents.

Behavioral Health website is a resource for individuals, families, and agencies with behavioral health questions or concerns. The site provides information about behavioral health services in our region, including key health topics, current legislation, and organizations that provide assistance to Barnstable County residents.  The Behavioral Health Service Directory lists organizations, programs and facilities related to mental and behavioral health, addiction, advocacy, support, housing, and more.

Public Health and Wellness website is a resource for individuals, families, and agencies interested in public health. The site provides data and information about community services, laws, and related news, and a service directory of resources on aging, disability, mental health, substance use, housing, and basic needs.

Creating a Healthy Connected Cape Cod: As the region’s health and human services clearinghouse, Barnstable County Department of Human Services connects individuals and organizations to the information and the services they need, providing data, research, technical assistance, online resource directories, and E-Newsletters.  The online calendar provides a schedule of Department’s priority meetings and events, and the easily accessible “Emergency Hotlines” provides contact information for immediate help for those in crisis.
