The event is second in a series of intergenerational Model UN events organized by Age-Friendly Yarmouth in partnership with the United Nations Association of Greater Boston. Using best practices found from the innovative pilot held in October, 2016, students from Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School will pair up with older adults from their community to address issues of AGING around the world. The session will also be used to illustrate the intergenerational Model UN to counterparts from Age-Friendly Boston and beyond through the use of Edward M. Kennedy Institute structure and technology.
Aging and Disability is one of the four major health and human service focus areas of Barnstable County’s Department of Human Services. As stated in the Barnstable County Human Service Plan, the Department’s goal is to support regional aging and disability efforts that improve coordination of services and address unmet needs.
