HUD Continuum of Care FY2017 NOFA Released

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) 2017 Continuum of Care (CoC) Program Competition Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) was released on July 14, 2017. The NOFA and related documents can be found at https://www.hudexchange.info/programs/e-snaps/fy-2017-coc-program-nofa-coc-program-competition. The Cape & Islands CoC is accepting new and renewal CoC project applications for the FY17 consolidated application. The document below outlines this year’s timeline and application process. Please be aware that the deadline for submission of new and renewal project applications is August 25, 2017.

On July 24, 2017, the CoC will hold information sessions for new and renewal projects:

  • Renewal Projects: July 24, 2017, 10:00 AM
  • New Projects: July 24, 2017, 11:00 AM

CoCContinuum of Care (CoC) Grant Program is a homeless assistance program administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act. The CoC Program is designed to promote a community-wide commitment to the goal of ending homelessness; provide funding for efforts by nonprofit providers, and State and local governments to quickly rehouse homeless individuals and families while minimizing the trauma and dislocation caused to homeless individuals, families, and communities by homelessness; promote access to and affect utilization of programs by homeless individuals and families; and optimize self-sufficiency among individuals and families experiencing homelessness. As the Cape and Islands CoC collaborative applicant, Barnstable County Department of Human Services provides monitoring, operational infrastructure, and administrative support.
