The Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission in in the process of planning to enter an Order of Selection November 14, 2018 | 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM | White’s of Westport at 66 State Road, Westport. Order of Selection has implications for how MRC as an agency delivers vocational rehabilitation services, for how consumers receive services and supports on their paths towards employment , and how MRC partners with agencies and providers in the community.

MRC Commissioner Tori Wolf has asked the independent Living Centers in Southeastern Massachusetts to coordinate a community listening session to engage in a conversation about the potential implications of Order of Selection and to brainstorm strategies about how to work together to address the vocational needs of individuals with disabilities.  This will only affect new MRC consumers going forward.

Community partners, MRC Consumers, as well as staff from the three Independent Living Centers are welcome to attend this important meeting which will help guide MRC in their decisions should implementation be necessary.

Requests for reasonable accommodations can be made by calling 508.679.9210 or email jstone@secil.org.

Free Event hosted by Southeast Center for Independent Living, Inc., Independence Associates, Inc., Cape Organization for Rights of the Disabled, Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission.
