Learn How to Participate in this FREE Recovery Coach Pre-Certification and Wellness Training Program

The Center for Corporate and Professional Education at Cape Cod Community College (CCAPE) will hold three information sessions for community members interested in participating in a (free) grant-funded Recovery Coach Pre-Certification and Wellness Training Program. Join us to learn how you can start your career path to becoming a Certified Addictions Recovery Coach. Info sessions will be held:

  • Hyannis: Tuesday, January 21 from 1-3pm, The Hyannis Center, 540 Main Street, Hyannis.
  • Upper Cape: Thursday, January 23 from 2-4pm, Mashpee Public Library, 64 Steeple Street, Mashpee
  • Lower Cape: Friday, January 24 from 2-4pm, Lower Cape Outreach Council, 19 Brewster Cross Road, Orleans

These information sessions will provide an overview of the CCAPE Recovery Coach Pre-Certification and Wellness Training Program, which will include Career Navigation, Resume Writing, and Interviewing Techniques; Finance and Budgeting Skills; CPR/AED/First Aid and Mental Health First Aid Certifications; Recovery Coach Academy – Intensive 5-day Training; Addictions 101, Cultural Competency, and Motivational Interviewing; and Introduction to Whole Health Action Management (WHAM). In addition, 40 hours of field work with a local employer is included in the curriculum. All interested participants must attend an information session to be considered for enrollment in this grant-funded program. This training program was developed for individuals in recovery (with at least 9 months of sobriety) and individuals with lived experience.

Topics covered during the sessions include eligibility and completion requirements of the Recovery Coach Pre-Certification and Wellness Training Program, application process, and insight into the class schedule. Following each information session, participants will have the opportunity to begin the application process. Registration is required to attend and information session seating is limited.
